With the ending of the Overnights on April 2nd, we provided shelter to 38 different men and women for a total of 1,232 beds. This averaged out to sheltering 9.8 individuals per night.
We want to thank the staff of FBMS and all the volunteers who chaperoned and/or provided a meal! Without the dedicated support of these folks, our program would not be able to function. A huge thank you to the three churches – Christ Church Episcopal, First Baptist and St. Mary’s – for being the host sites.
The good news is that, with additional subsidies becoming available through FBMS, we were able to move 14 from shelter into permanent, supportive housing.
Annual Meeting
The Taskforce held its Annual Meeting on March 31st. Irene Torrey and Robyn Lench were elected to serve on our board with Ms. Lench being elected to serve as Clerk. Click here for the President’s Annual Report. Financial Reports are available upon request.
Golf Tournament
It’s not too early to begin to think about participating in our Annual Golf Tournament which will be held on Monday, August 31st at Southers Marsh! We will be looking for golfers, sponsors, and donations for our live auction. Forms will be uploaded as soon as they are ready.
